His projects range from the Biosphere Commitment Program which is a Sustainability Certification for Businesses in the region that aligns with the UNWTO Sustainable development goals, to conducting ongoing Webinars for TOTA and managing & planning Virtual Events.

Kavan completed his secondary education from Arya Vidya Mandir Juhu in Mumbai, India. After secondary education he pursued higher secondary education from the Mithibhai College for Arts and Commerce in Mumbai, India. Having successfully completed his higher education in the commerce stream in 2008, he moved on to complete his Bachelors in Business Management in 2011, at Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College.

Kavan’s career began in 2011 with BLR Logistiks in Mumbai, India as an executive assistant to the CFO. During his tenure he worked as part of a team which generated various Management Information Systems reports required by the management. He was designated with the responsibility of extracting data from the various software modules, performing calculations, analysing the data, identifying deviations and presenting the final desired output. Part of his tenure included Branch support software team.

He moved on from BLR Logistiks in 2013, accepting a position with Synergy Relationship Management Services Pvt.Ltd as a business development executive successfully growing the firm as a startup firm in the events sector. He conducted corporate level training for mid level to top level management which included master classes, conferences and sponsorship events for primarily banking sector organizations and slowly began to diversify into other sectors such as Oil and Gas and Pharmaceuticals. He achieved exponential growth here in a span of 5 years and exited the firm at the position of Business Development and Marketing Manager in 2018 to pursue his Masters in Global Management at Royal Roads University.

After completing his Master Degree in 2020, Kavan accepted a position with the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association as their Marketing Coordinator and by the end of 2020 he was hired full time by TOTA as the Events and Industry Relations Specialist. In this role Kavan was the project manager for the successful Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association 2 Day Virtual Summit 2020. Currently he is working on TOTA’s upcoming Virtual event in collaboration with Sun ex Malta and Mekong on the Strong Earth Youth Summit on Climate Change in memory of Maurice Strong, coming up in April 2021.

He will be supporting the TOTA training center to provide technical support to the program and ensure all technical challenges are solved.
